As with every year of the Emma Hack Art Prize, 15% of the sale of all Finalist artworks will be donated to a relevant charity to the theme chosen.

'This year I have chose 'Mental Illness Fellowship South Australia (Mifsa)’.  1 in 5 people will be affected by mental health in their lifetime, I feel its important to support those experiencing mental health issues and those that care for them.  The theme 'Real or Surreal?' lends itself to this theme as the reality of ones thoughts may be surreal to another.  Its important to raise awareness and acceptance of mental illness that affects so many.'

Mental Illness Fellowship South Australia

MIFSA is a community based, not for profit organisation delivering a range of programs and services for people affected by mental illness, carers and the community.

All MIFSA programs and services are delivered with a rehabilitation and recovery approach, utilising the 'lived experience' of mental illness. Working alongside and together with participants, our programs create an environment of hope and recovery, offering social support, meaningful activity and opportunities to learn and build upon existing strengths.
